About

I’m Marcus McCall.

I run a small Auckland-based IT consultancy. VMware-certified for on-prem and cloud services, with hands-on depth across AWS, Azure and GCP. Day-to-day I’m in the tooling — cluster work, cloud migrations, CI/CD pipelines that actually fire, monitoring that catches things before customers do. Not a slide deck.

Recent work spans rolling out endpoint security across 15,000+ nodes, PCI-compliant deployments, Azure identity management (Entra ID), and infrastructure-as-code at scale. Most of my engagements start with a quiet “why is this slow / breaking / expensive” question. I find what’s costing you the most, then fix it.

Most infrastructure problems are smaller than they feel — they just need someone to sit down with them.
